NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SAMITHI

 

The Navodaya Scheme is a unique experiment unparalleled in the annals of school education in India and elsewhere. The National Policy on Education-1986 envisaged the setting up of these schools, to be called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas that would bring out the best of rural talent.

 JNVs are spread in  27 states and 7 union Territories. and there are 593 schools throughout  India. .Admissions are made through Test administered by CBSE in CLASS VI. These are co-educational residential schools with free lodge and boarding facilities up to class XII.

GENESIS OF JNV, KHAMMAM                    

In accordance with the New Education Policy of 1986, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya for the District Khammam was established during the year 1987. It is situated on the banks of Palair Reservoir in a pleasant environment spread over on 27 acres of land.   The Vidyalaya is possessing the state of art Infrastructure and committed, talented acharyas. The Second Navodaya for Khammam district was established in the year 2008. The Vidyalaya has been identified as a RESOURCE CENTRE AND A SCHOOL OF EXPERMENTATION AND INNOVATIONS. In many ways this Institution is considered a TREND SETTER and has been a learning Organization working with full Team Spirit and total transparency.

VIDYALAYA AMBIENCE

Being nestled in the crescent water gulf,  a place of Nature’s charm, a treasure of beauty, is always filled with a cooling spirit throughout the year.  The gardens are well nourished, ever-green, rich with the hue of exuberant colours. The vicinities that embellish the Gandhi bagh and Rajiv Smruthivan momentarily catch the eye of the visitor with a deep profoundity and divine serenity. The shady gigantic trees around the campus, spacious play grounds and well defined structures of blocks and the majestic academic block on the campus look appealing and beautiful

                                     PRINCIPAL’S PROFILE:

                              Dr. Surender Pati , the present principal of the vidyalaya is a dediated, committed, dynamic and able administrator. He is a visionary striving all the time to ensure safe, secured, comfortable and enjoyable stay of all the students. He is a strict disciplinarian and a true academician and his efforts to co-ordinate and monitor all the staff  members are quite exemplary.

 He joined this vidyalaya  on 1st December 2016. Prior to this, he rendered his valuable services as in charge principal at JNV Akkalkuwa, Nandurbargh district, Maharashtra from            to                      , as principal at JNV Solahpur from                            to                           and also at JNV Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh from           to                     as principal. He is vested with rich experience of  working as PGT Biology since he joined the organization on 2/7/1990 at JNV Chittoor and continued to work as PGT till                . Later he was promoted as the vice principal at JNV Pedavegi, West Godavari and worked there till                   .

Known for his academic excellence and alround development as a student, he has obtained his Master’s degree in Zoology and pursued his M.Ed and PhD from Kakatiya University, Warangal.

He has the credit of teaching the 1st batch of 10th class students and guiding them to perform successfully in their board exams. During his tenure as the PGT, Vice Principal and also as the Principal, a number of batches have successfully passed out and most of the students settled in highest positions rendering noteworthy services in various areas. He upholds the credit of having many of his former  students as engineers, doctors etc and a few students in IAS and IRS cadre. The selfless services being rendered by him have borne fruit in the form of blessing him with two sons who have attained praise worthy positions his elder son,Mr. Karthik Pati is in the reputed position of PG doctor in Warangal and the younger one Mr. Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS is serving as the collector in TamilNadu.

Known for his sincere services and maintaining cordial relationship with all the staff members is one of the prime reasons for his successful career as administrator. This results in assured team work and co-operation among all the staff members and bringing laurels to the vidyalaya in the scholastic as well as non-scholastic

 

Being the founder principal of JNV Burhanpur, he had shouldered the mammoth responsibility of taking up the construction work to assure the well established infra structure of the vidyalaya. The inauguration ceremony of the vidyalaya buildings was organized in great pomp and show for which three ministers, Miss. Purandareswari, the then union minister for H.R.D, the then central labour minister Mr. Arun yadav and Miss. Archana chutnes then education minister for Madhya Pradesh were the guests of honour. Under his able administration and promising guidance, JNV Khammam would surely establish many amazing mile stones in the years to come.
